Brad Garner
President
Brad R. Garner is Founder and President of Garner Group and has over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate. Mr. Garner formed Garner Group in the Fall of 2017.
RCG Ventures (“RCG”)
Prior to founding Garner Group, Mr. Garner served as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for RCG from 2009 to 2017. His role at RCG involved the oversight of multiple departments with responsibility for the acquisition, disposition, financing, and reporting of all transactions and investment funds. During Mr. Garner’s tenure, RCG raised over $240 million of equity and acquired over 137 properties totaling $1.1 billion of invested capital.
BVT Equity Holdings (“BVT”)
In 2003, Mr. Garner joined BVT as Vice President of Acquisitions. BVT is a German based investment fund operator with a U.S. office in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Garner was responsible for all new acquisitions as well as asset management for a retail portfolio of over 2 million square feet.
Regency Centers (nyse: REG) – fka Equity One (nyse: EQY) - fka IRT Property Company (nyse: IRT)
In 2000, Mr. Garner joined IRT Property Company as Vice President of Acquisitions. He was responsible for the sourcing, bidding, and ultimate acquisition of retail shopping centers for the publicly traded REIT. In addition, he handled all secured financing transactions. Note: IRT was acquired by EQY in 2003 for $730 million and subsequently EQY was acquired by REG in 2017.
Branch Properties (“Branch”)
Mr. Garner began his real estate career in 1994 with Branch as an Accountant. Branch is private real estate investment firm focused on high-quality grocery-anchored shopping centers. Mr. Garner worked on multiple fund level retail projects and ground up developments. During his employment, he was selected to work with upper management to help take the company public which was sold to Regency Centers (nyse: REG) in 1997. Mr. Garner’s employment continued with Regency as an Acquisition Analyst.
